biographie depuis 2007, the crippled frogs bricolent, avec certain savoir-faire artisan, un blues/folk frais inspiré du delta-blues originel. 2017 : l'heure est venue de passer au cran supérieur. avec ragtime, liquors & headaches ils explorent le jazz, le ragtime, le hip hop et le rock. the crippled frogs naissent en 2007 dans la drôme sous la forme d’un duo acoustique axé sur le blues du delta. rapidement enrichi d’un troisième larron assurant les percussions et instruments additionnels, le groupe se rode sur scène courant 2009 et enregistre sans technique ni moyens un premier album autoproduit intitulé "down home french blues" . ce premier disque sorti en 2010 obtient le prix "coup de coeur du collectif des radios blues" ouvrant au groupe les portes des radios locales, mais également de la scène blues française. entre autres, le groupe se produira aux festivals cognac blues passions et blues sur seine . en 2011, le groupe rejoint pbox prod qui assure la tournée et finance un second album, le bien nommé "so far, it’s ok" . ce premier effort en studio, plus sage que son prédécesseur fait l’objet d'un très bon accueil (reçevant 3 étoiles dans rock n’folk et soul bag notamment ), conforte la position du groupe sur la scène locale et lui donne la possibilité de jouer dans toute la france assurant une centaine de concerts depuis 2009. aujourd’hui c’est avec un nouveau line up et des idées plein les poches que la bande se lance dans son troisième album : "ragtime, liquors and headaches" . portés par la voix d'un nouveau chanteur et augmentés d’un contrebassiste, ils proposent une musique aux accents plus folks, teintée de ragtime et parfois même de rock. pierre est entré dans le groupe avec la lourde tâche de remplacer romain au chant et à la guitare slide. improvisateur audacieux, interprète brillant, excellent guitariste et doté d'une voix hors du commun, il a relevé le défi au point de donner aujourd'hui l'impression d'avoir toujours été là. membre fondateur des crippled frogs, michaël en est l'auteur -
